This Request for Proposal (the "RFP") is an invitation by the City of Kingston (the "City") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the Construction of the Confederation Basin Promenade The City intends to construct a pedestrian promenade on the existing breakwall at the west edge of the Flora MacDonald Confederation Basin at Battery Park. The proposed work includes: a) a concrete walkway, of varying width, with integral seat wall from Battery Park to the breakwall terminus, b) pile driving and rock placement, c) gathering and lookout areas, including widened concrete paved areas and an elevated steel and timber gathering area at the lighthouse, d) egress steps from the water, e) pathway and marine navigation lighting, f) site servicing, g) site furnishings, railings and a shade shelter, and h) an enhanced entry area at the park interface with sheet pile walls, concrete terraces and steps, ramps and plantings.
