Fayetteville Public Schools ("the district") is requesting Statements of Qualifications ("Responses") to provide playground equipment installation and repair services. The district intends to pre-qualify a limited number of playground contractors who can provide playground construction, inspection, installation, and repair services for school district playgrounds. The Playground Contractor shall be required to enter into a contract with the district containing such terms as are satisfactory to the district for any specified construction and/or renovation projects. The contract shall incorporate the scope of services to be included for any specified construction, installation, renovation, and/or repair projects as described in the Playground Contractor qualifications. Pre-qualified Playground Contractors are not guaranteed to receive any work from the District. It should be noted the district is excluded from performing any paid work in connection with this RFQ. SCOPEOFWORK Playground Contractors must have experience designing, constructing, installing, repairing, and inspecting playground equipment, playground fall zone surfacing, and playground sites. Description of Work May Include But Is Not Limited To The Following: Construction and/or renovation of playground sites Installation of new playground equipment Repair of existing playground equipment Relocation of playground equipment Construction and installation of ADA sidewalks, ramps, and other site-surfacing Knowledge of ADA standards for playground construction, installation, accessibility, and playground equipment selection Installation or repair of fall zone surfacing (i.e. wood products, poured-in-place, and other artificial surfaces) Playground space planning Playground inspections Playground site renovation and repair Request for Qualifications Playground Construction & Repair Services SY 2024 Playground construction, renovations, and repairs Construction of exterior playground sports courts and walking tracks Renovation and/or repairs of exterior playground sports courts and walking tracks Installation and repair of exterior playground sports court equipment Installation and repair of playground fencing Installation and repair of shade structures Installation and repair of site seating and other site equipment The Facility Improvements Committee will review the request for qualifications. The Facility Improvements Committee will select and recommend qualified playground contractors that will best serve the long-term interests of the district.
