Renovation of a water / sewer project in Hanahan, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Commissioners ofPublic Works ofthe City ofCharleston, South Carolina (Owner), is requesting interested Contractors to complete an Application for Prequalification ofBidders for providing all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services and incidentals necessary for the renovation ofth existing second story space within the Stoney Filter Annex building to a Process Control center located at the Hanahan Water Treatment Plant (Hanahan WTP) in Hanahan, SC. The Project consists ofrenovations to the existing Stoney Filter Annex building, including the addition ofa new plant control roo conference room, sample tap room, kitchen, mud room, restrooms, shower, file storage space, janitor room, and associated improvements to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and SCADA system. Civil/site work ofthis Project will include the installation ofone (i) new sanitary sewer pump station (SSPS), associated gravity sanitary sewer line, and sanitary sewer force main tie-in. It is critical that plant operation is not interrupted beyond what is allowed by 1 Owner in the contract documents The estimated construction cost for the project is in the range of$4.5 million.
