Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Newark, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of April 1, 2025, construction has not begun. The work under this IFB generally consists of, but is not limited to the Lift Bridge, Tower and Flanking Spans, Communications, Signals, Overhead Catenary and Associated Site Work, and Swing Span Demolition. A four percent (4%) Race Conscious DBE goal has been assigned to this project. In accordance with N.J.A.C. 16:72-2.2, bidders are notified that a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price is required with their bids. Site visit: Any Contractor who fails to bring and wear the required personal protective equipment will be denied access to walk through the site visit. Unauthorized/unescorted entry onto the railroad right of-way is strictly prohibited Bidders are advised that attendance at both the pre-bid conference and site visit is strongly recommended. Question Deadline 06/05/2024 at 11:59 PM ET Completed Prequalification documents package must be received by NJ TRANSIT no later than 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024 The date for which questions, inquiries and requests for clarifications are due has been revised to 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024.
