Renovation of an educational facility in Syracuse, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking qualifications for full design services (programming. schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration), of an architectural/engineering team to design and replace the existing MRI, and IR suite within the Cancer Center. The renovation will include redesigning the current facilities with two state-of-the-art operating rooms (ORs), updated procedure room and an updated/moved MRI suite. Additionally, new recovery space will be incorporated into the design. The renovation will focus on updating all finishes and ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and regulations. The total space to be renovated includes 4000 square feet of procedural space and 3500 square feet of clinical/support space. There will be no formal site visit nor will tours of the facility be given prior to the receipt of responses to the RFQ. NYS Executive Law Article 15-A and University policy require campuses, and the consultants with whom they do business, to make a good faith effort to procure materials, supplies, equipment, and services (including printing) from NYS certified minority- or women-owned businesses (M/WBEs) and meet University established goals for M/WBE participation in contracts. State University of New York goals are: 11% MBE participation and 19% WBE participation of the total contract value and 6% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business participation goal. Minimum ten (10) years experience in designing state-of-the-art operating rooms and MRI/radiology for both the architectural firm and its team members is required.
