23-Apr-2024 12:00:00 AM EDT The Intent of this contract is for the Inspection, calibration, certification, preventative maintenance and remedial service required for the Fire Systems at various Metrolinx locations. The Vendors trained personnel shall have successfully completed a program or course acceptable to the Fire Marshal as required by the Ontario Fire Code (ref. 6.3.2.2.1(1) of Div B, 1.2.1 of Div C) and CAN/ULC-536-04. No supporting documentation is required with the submission of the tender, however, Metrolinx reserves the right to request confirmation of training. 1 the Vendor Shall Be Responsible for All the Costs Associated for All Travel, Equipment, and Consumables to Perform the Work Outlined in the Contact.
2 the Vendor Shall Review and Reference the Detailed Equipment Listing for Each Facility Provided in Appendix C - Equipment Listing.
3 Review the Measures to Be Taken Such That Fire Safety in the Building is Maintained During the Testing and in the Event That Portions of the System Are Temporarily Disabled.
4 Obtain Authorization to Proceed, by Signature, of the Responsible Building Contact.
5 Prepare and Post Warning Signs for Occupants, at All Relevant Building Entrances, Advising That Fire Alarm System Testing is Taking Place. The Metrolinx Will Provide Advance Notice of the Time and Date to Occupants.
6 After Each Inspection is Performed the Vendor Shall Supply Metrolinx With a Detailed Report (Printed and on Digital Media) Indicating the Condition of the Asset, Any Problem Areas and Recommended Solutions. The Report Must Also Include a Quotation of the Remedial Requirements to Rectify the Deficiencies Found, Including a Breakdown of Labour, Material, Equipment Costs and Any Other Related Expenses.
7 All Deficiencies Shall Be Identified in a Report Form Complete With Identification of the Code or Standard and Clause That Makes It a Deficiency. Major Deficiency Shall Be Reported to Facility Supervisor Immediately. Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion Official bid documents must be obtained from www.metrolinx.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
