The City of West Haven (hereafter referred to as, the City) is soliciting a Request for Proposal for grinding services to be performed at the City's compost site, located at 9 Kimberly Avenue in West Haven, CT. The work would involve the grinding of brush, logs & stumps. Bidders should provide a quote for grinding services ONLY and an alternative quote for hauling the ground material if the bidder plans to keep all or a percentage of it. The City is looking for a contractor to provide grinding services for (2) two existing piles of brush, logs, and stumps, located at the City's compost site, 9 Kimberly Avenue in West Haven, CT. Proposers will need to provide the machinery necessary to process the material (payloader, excavator, grinder). Bidders should submit a quote for grinding ONLY and an alternative quote for hauling the material off site, should the bidder wish to keep all or a percentage of the material. These two piles measure out to be approximately 18,500 cubic yards, combined. The following are required precedent to the effectiveness of any agreement: W9 Form UEI# (Unique Entity ID#) Completed Bid Form, Disclosure & Certification Affidavit & Non Collusion Affidavit No oral, telephonic, emailed, or faxed corrections, deletions, or additions to any response shall be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all responses, and to waive any or all formalities in connection with this request. Any proposals received after the scheduled due date and time shall not be accepted or considered but rejected. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals if it deems such to be in the best interest of the City of West Haven. The Request for Information (RFI) period ends on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 2:00pm. ADDENDA: Bidders are encouraged to check online regularly, for addenda. Bidders failure to receive an addendum, does not relieve the Bidder of any obligations under the solicitation, with addenda, as posted. The City will not honor a request for a solicitation correction or clarification, if the request is made less than seven (7) calendar days, prior to the date of the bid opening. The City will make any and all interpretations and any supplementary instructions, in the form of written addenda to the specifications, which if issued, the City will publish on its website. Within three (3) days of the published date for a bid opening, the City will not issue solicitation addenda, except if it needs to extend the date of the bid opening.
