The work for which bids are asked includes the following: Complete excavation, traffic control, grading, ditching, pavement removal, 200 LF of concrete curb and gutter installation, approximately 9,000 tons of base course installation, approximately 3,000 tons of asphalt paving, pavement marking, and all other associated turf restoration. There is also an additive bid alternate for a basketball court including dense graded base, asphalt paving and pavement marking. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. The project in the City of Adams is funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP). The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the wage rate scale established by local wage rates.
