Performance and Payment Bonds, as well as Bid Bonds, are required for bids in excess of $50,000. The Contractor will execute separate performance and payment bonds, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price, in standard forms for this purpose, guaranteeing faithful performance of the work and the fulfillment of any guarantees required, and further guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and materials or furnishing him any equipment in the execution of the contract, and it is agreed that this Contract shall not be in effect until such performance and payment bonds are furnished and approved by the Owner. This contract shall be in effect for the approved length of time bid that it takes to complete the project within the maximum days allowed. Each bidder will be REQUIRED to attend a pre-bid meeting prior to the submission of bid. Each bidder must completely satisfy himself as to the exact nature and existing conditions of the work area and requirements of the specifications for extent and quality of work to be performed. A copy of the Scope of Work will be provided at the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting Questions will be answered through Electronically . Vendors who received notification of the bid opportunity will be notified of the Addendum via email. Questions received less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date of opening bids may not be answered. Only questions that have been resolved by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any response or combination of bids deemed advantageous to it.
