Lead Service Line Replacement Last Date/Time for Questions 4/03/2024 Noon Property Address Bid Amount 615 Lake - full LSLR $ 713 Greenwood - Main to B-box $ 2419 Birchwood - Main to B-box The terms, conditions and attachments contained in our mutually signed contract "Lead Service Line Replacement Program" are incorporated into these detailed specifications as if fully set forth herein. 2. All excavations in paved areas, including sidewalk, shall be saw cut full depth. a. If work occurs on a brick street, the Respondent shall remove bricks, palletize, wrap in plastic, and deliver to the Village Yard (711 Laramie Avenue) for re-use by others. b. If the property has brick paver sidewalks or driveways, the Respondent shall stockpile bricks at a convenient spot after consulting the property owner. Final brick restoration will be completed by the Village. c. The Respondent will be allowed to dispose of excavated material at the Village's spoils bin at 711 Laramie Avenue. 3. Installation of 1-1/2" tap on the existing water main using a stainless-steel tapped repair sleeve with conductivity strip and no-lead/low lead brass corporation stop as outlined in the Village detail. Conductivity strip or bumps to be factory installed not homemade. 4. Installation of 1 1/2 inch Type K copper tube from the main to a new 1-1/2" curb stop with Minneapolis threaded curb stop and curb box. a. All materials shall be provided by the Respondent. b. Flared fittings only- no compression fittings. c. For long side services, the connection to existing water main on the opposite side of the centerline of the street, shall require trenchless boring. No open cut will be allowed. i. Contractor may use drilling mud but drilling mud must be NSF listed. ii. Depth of bore cannot exceed seven (7) feet in depth iii. Bore shall be perpendicular from water main to b-box iv. Reamer, if used, shall not be more than three inches (3") in diameter. v. Contractor shall be responsible for cleanup of any excess or spilled mud from street, curb, gutter and parkway. d. The Minneapolis threaded curb box must have all threads greased with anti-seize lubricant then installed onto the curb stop. e. The curb stop pentagon nut and lid must be removed, greased with antiseize lubricant, reinstalled. Contractor to remove lid and operate curb stop. f. The curb stop box must be installed in the parkway, leveled to grade and a minimum of 2' away from paved surfaces. The curb stop must be the appropriate distance from any parkway trees (as determined by the Village Forester). Curb stop boxes shall not be installed in driveways, sidewalks, carriage walks, service walks, or on private property. Curb stop boxes may only be in a paved surface as approved by the Village. g. Contractor to be responsible for the connection of the new curb stop to the new private side service. This is the only portion of the replacement where a compression fitting may be used with permission from the Village. h. Contractor to seal the private side of curb stop valve with appropriate brass cap, i.e. Mueller H-15540N- 1-1/2" or solid copper disc, i.e. Mueller H-15535- 1-1/2" fitted on to private side flare fitting
