Reference Number 0000347577 The Wemlinger WPF Electrical and Communications Project (the Project) includes replacement of aging electrical equipment including motor control centers (MCCs) and associated components (motor starters, circuit monitors, panelboards, circuit breakers, transfer switches, soft starts, power monitors, tie breakers, and distribution transformers). The project scope also includes upgrading the emergency radio, cellular communications, and Graceman Down systems around the facility to provide full coverage around the entire facility and to meet current codes and standards. In addition, the plans will include converting the Zone 4/5 pump station medium voltage (4,160 volt) motors to low voltage (480 volt) motors equipped with variable frequency drives (VFDs) to reduce energy consumption, utilize electric utility rebates, and improve the control capability. The Project will also include upsizing the Zone 5 pump station pump motors to provide additional pumping capacity. Also, as part of the improvements, HVAC modifications will be necessary to provide adequate cooling in areas housing the electrical gear. The Project will also involve minor concrete modifications and miscellaneous site work to facilitate installation of new electrical equipment.
