Site work for a civil project in Baxter, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
This Contract Consists of Relocating Approximately 420 L.f.of 6" Waterline With a +/- 170lf Pe Directional Bore Stream crossing, +/- 250 Lf of Pvc Andall Necessary Appurtenances. All bidders shall submit with their bid a Bid Bond in amount of not less than five (5) percent of the base bid. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days. The Bidder awarded the contract shall fur- nish insurance as required, in the General Conditions. This contract shall be completed within 30 calendar days after date of authorization to start work. Liquidated damages will be $800 per calendar day. Any bid that is obviously unbalanced may be rejected. Black Mountain Utility District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities. Bidders must have experience with similar type projects. A list of references will be requested and thoroughly reviewed. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
