Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Franklin Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of April 19,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on May 6, 2024. The work includes the removal of foundation walls, concrete slabs, including building floor slabs, driveways, and sidewalks. Excavated areas are to be backfilled with structural soil fill, and the disturbed area topped with 6" of topsoil and seed. An asbestos inspection found no evidence of asbestos material in either building. Refer to the accompanying Asbestos Inspection Report and Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment Report. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining and payment of all applicable demolition permits. Each proposal shall be addressed to the Village Clerk and shall bear on the face of the envelope the name of the bidder and a statement that it is to be opened for the contract at the date and hour as set forth in the Bid Deadline. Immediately after the bid deadline, the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Village reserves the right to defer, postpone, delay, or reschedule the Bid Opening for such time and to such date as the Village, in its sole discretion, determines is in the best interest of the Village. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish either both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit acceptable to the Village for 100 percent of the Contract Price, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. 3212 N. MANNHEIM ROAD BUILDING DEMOLITION consists of demolishing an 1,875 SF, two story cinder block building, a 17,575 SF two story brick building, and the disposal of all demolished material. The work includes the removal of foundation walls, concrete slabs, including building floor slabs, driveways, and sidewalks.
