1.1. Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Contractor to provide milling and resurfacing improvements to various roads within Lee County, Florida. Work shall include, but not be limited to; milling, resurfacing, restriping, ADA upgrades and minor signal work to accommodate ADA upgrades. 1.2. All work performed shall follow all Federal, State, Local, OSHA and department mandated regulations and specifications for associated work. 1.3. Contractor(s) shall review the list of roads and all drawings detailing work to be performed under this solicitation. 1.4. The scope of work is further defined and detailed within Exhibits E-O found attached to the draft contract agreement affixed to this solicitation package as well as within the plans associated with this project. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all documentation associated with this project. A Certified Check or a Cashier's Check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the proposed dollar amount. Any Certified Check or Cashier's Check submitted in lieu of a Bid Bond shall be drawn on a solvent bank or trust company, made payable to Lee County Board of County Commissioners and shall have all necessary documentary revenue stamps attached. As further described in the Contract, the successful Bidder shall provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Awarded Contract amount within seven (7) calendar days after notification by the County of the approval to award the Contract, the costs of which are to be paid by the successful Bidder. Such Performance and Payment Bonds shall be in the form prescribed by the Exhibits to the attached Contract. It has been determined that the specifications and scope of work within this solicitation are adequate to describe the product or services being requested. A pre-bid conference and site visit has not been scheduled for this solicitation.
