As of May 24, 2024, This project has been awarded to Lehigh Asphalt Paving & Construction Co, with the awarded amount of $365,534.30. 2024 Bituminous Paving DESCRIPTION OF WORK: As indicated below and in attachments 1-A and 1-B The Contractor is to place the type and depth of material listed in the Schedule of Prices. All depth to be compacted in place and work to include tack coat as per PennDOT Specifications Form 408, milling of pavement notches at intersecting roads and driveways and sealing of joints and utilities. Hand or machine placed roll bituminous curb may be required. These items are to be incidental to the paving. 1034 Tons- Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Scratch/Leveling Course, PG 64S-22, 0.0 to 0.3 million ESAL's, 9.5 MM Mix, SRL-L, 90 LB/SY 2690 Tons- Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PG 64S-22, 0.0 to 0.3 million ESAL's, 9.5 MM Mix, SRL-L, 180 LB/SY, 1.5" Depth All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Polk Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. The Polk Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408 - Specifications, and bidders must be PennDOT prequalified for work class "F" Bituminous Paving. All work must be completed by August 31, 2024, for the Bituminous Paving (Road Bid) contracts; liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $975.00 per day for each day beyond these dates that the work remains incomplete.
