The City of Miramar Public Works Department is inviting qualified Concrete Contractors to submit quotes to install four (4) new pedestrian crossings on Bernard boulevard in Sherman circle Community. Quote shall include labor, materials, equipment, supervision, insurance, maintenance of traffic, and all incidentals to perform the Work completely. The Successful Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to install four (4) new pedestrian crossings on Bernard Boulevard. Work includes: 1) Clearing and grubbing 2) Concrete curb and gutter including transitions. 3) 6" thick concrete 4) All slopes shall meet the FDOT design standards and ADA Traffic Control :Maintenance of traffic (MOT) shall be in accordance with Broward County Traffic Engineering requirements. The work shall always be performed in such a manner as to maintain at least one lane of traffic. Contractor shall phase construction such that traffic across the completed work shall be minimal until such time that the concrete has sufficiently formed, and thermal signage is sufficiently dried to prevent damage to the work. The contractor shall furnish, install, maintain, and remove all necessary traffic signs, barricades, lights, signals, cones, and other traffic-control devices, and all flagging and other means of traffic protection and guidance as required by the Standard Specifications of the Florida Department of Transportation and the MUTCD. Such work shall be considered incidental to the overall contract, and no additional compensation will be made Questions regarding this Request for Quotation (RFQ) shall be made in writing to the Procurement Analyst for this solicitation, Jason Chong via e-mail at: jdchong@miramarfl.gov. Questions are due by Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, at 5:00 PM. The work shall commence ONLY after the contractor has been notified by the Public Works Department but within five (5) business days after receipt of purchase order. The work shall be completed within thirty (30) days from the date of commencement. Work should be done during regular business hours to be following the City of Miramar Noise Ordinance There is no formal site visit for this project. However, Contractors are encouraged to visit the site location on their own accord. The City reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, to waive any irregularities in the Solicitation process, and to award or not award a contract based on this solicitation, as deemed in the best interest of the City
