The City of Malibu (City) is requesting proposals from an experienced, qualified landscape maintenance company to perform landscape maintenance services at public properties under the jurisdiction of the City of Malibu Community Services Department. The general scope of work to be performed includes landscape maintenance of the City's six major parks, three parkways and medians, Malibu City Hall, Cross Creek Road between Pacific Coast Highway and Civic Center Drive, and Civic Center Way between Webb Way and Malibu Canyon Road. The selected contractor (Contractor) will be held to a high standard of excellence and will understand the importance of clean and properly maintained public facilities, provide excellent customer service, and respond quickly to City requests. The Contractor must abide by the City's Earth Friendly Management Policy (EFMP), which strictly prohibits the use of pesticides, including herbicides and rodenticides. Contractors should be familiar with landscape maintenance that prioritizes environmentally friendly practices, such as exclusion and hand-weeding while encouraging native landscapes throughout the City.
