The Contractor shall retain and pay for a testing agency to perform earthwork proofroll evaluations and compaction testing as specified in Section 312000 (in lieu of an Owner's Geotechnical Representative). b. 30" diameter HDPE storm line replacement from catch basin #A1 downslope to flared end outlet shall be included in the Base Bid, as well as specified, compacted earth fill of existing subsidence and sinkholes and finish grading and seeding. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Trust Company Treasurer's Check or Certified Check made payable to the Shaler Area School District in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal Such Bid Bond or Check shall be submitted with the understanding that it shall guarantee that the Bidder's Bid will not be withdrawn for a period of at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids; that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Form of Agreement, as provided by the Owner, with all blanks appropriately filled and will submit the required 100% Performance and Labor and Material Bonds (submitted on A.I.A. Document A312) and 100% Maintenance Bond as specified in Section 007216, Article 11; and that in the event of withdrawal of said Bid within said period, or the failure to enter into said Agreement and submit said Bonds within ten days after the Bidder has received notice of the acceptance of the Bid, the Bidder shall be liable to the above mentioned Owner for the full amount of such Bond or Check as representing the damage to the Owner on account of the default of the Bidder in any particular hereof. The Bid Bond or Check of all Bidders whose Bids are not accepted will be returned within ten calendar days after the scheduled bid opening date. Site Visitation: Bidders are required to attest to the fact that they have visited the site with the submittal of their Bid Form, Section 004116. Final Project Completion Date $500.00 Final Project Closeout Completion Date $400.00 The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids when such rejection is in the interest of the Owner, and to reject the bid of any Bidder, who in the Owner's judgment, is not in position to perform the Contract.
