Project Details 2.1. Important Instructions for Electronic Submittal The City of West Sacramento is only accepting electronic bid submissions and only through its online bidding platform, OpenGov. Bidders shall create a FREE account by signing up at OpenGov.com. Once you have completed account registration, browse back to this page, click on "Submit Response", and follow the instructions to submit the electronic bid. The bid specifications, including instructions on how to bid, standards for a responsive bid, and project specifications, are attached hereto in Attachments and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full 2.2. Project Scope The West Sacramento Civic Center offers the perfect ambiance in a contemporary state-of-the-art location that will make a lasting impression for any event: weddings and receptions, fund raisers, holiday gatherings, luncheons, seminars, conferences, and much more. Our Galleria also accommodates business events with convenient partitions that can convert the area into 3 separate rooms. The Galleria is located on the first floor of the Civic Center building located at 1110 West Capitol Avenue in West Sacramento. More information about the event center can be found on the Parks and Facility Rentals webpage. The event center main area and surrounding hallway floors are currently stained and sealed concrete. The event center rooms, and storage closet floors are currently carpeted. The scope of this ITB is to refinish all of the floors of this event center, all adjacent hallways and closets, and the building entrance with matching stained and sealed concrete floors. An expansion of this scope is outlined below. The estimated area of the floor to be resurfaced is 6820 square feet. Carpet Removal The existing carpet located in the event center rooms 157 and 160 as well as the adjacent storage closets, approximately 1600 square feet. Electrical Floor Boxes The existing electrical floor boxes located in event center rooms 157 and 160 will require removal and resetting to match the concrete grade. Concrete Repair and Surface Preparation The entire floor area of the event center as defined in Attachment D will require a thorough assessment to determine any repairs and surface preparation in accordance with manufacturer's instructions for the proper application of concrete stain and sealant. The wall coving is to be removed prior to any concrete work. New wall coving is to be replaced after completion of the concrete refinishing project to match the height of the original coving that was removed. Concrete Staining The entire floor area of the event center as defined in Attachment D is to be stained a uniform color. The color will be chosen by the City at a later date. Bid Alternate #1 Concrete Resurfacing The entire floor area of the event center (as defined in Attachment D) is to be resurfaced. Bidders are to submit separate line-item bids for both: Polished concrete Concrete overlay and polishing. Overlay products and materials must be defined in the bid. Bid Alternate #2 Curb Removal Removal of curb to grade in the area underneath the Galleria stairwell. All bidders must be able to schedule the work upon award of contract and schedule the work to meet the hard deadline. Bidder must possess a current C-8 Contractor's License issued by the State of California, at the time the Bid is submitted.
