Description of Work: Scope of work includes approximately 1,500 LFT of 24-inch to 36-inch sanitary sewer, a regulator structure, related appurtenances, and site restoration. Work will take place in downtown Kokomo along Union Street and Superior Street. Bid Bond or certified check (5% of Bid amount) Before commencing Work, the Bidder to whom the Work is awarded will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to the Contract Price, and certificates of insurance as required in the Specifications. All Bonds and liability insurance shall remain in effect for a period of twelve (12) months following completion and OWNER acceptance of construction Failure to execute a Contract and to furnish Bonds, Certificates of Insurance, and IDOA certification, as hereinafter set out will be cause for forfeiture to the OWNER of the amount of money represented by the certified check or Bidder's Bond, as and for liquidated damages. A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids for at least 60 days to allow review of Bids before announcing award of Contract. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, or to Make Such Combination of Bids as May Seem Desirable, and to Waive Any and All Informalities in the Bidding. The Owner May Award Bids Based Upon Selection of Any Combination of Proposal Form Line Items as Well as Mandatory Alternatives. Bids Shall Be Awarded to the Bidder or Bidders Deemed to Be the Lowest, Responsible, and Responsive by the Owner.
