This Request for Proposals (R.FP) is official notification of needed professional services. This RFP is being issued to solicit a letter of Interest (LOI) and other documents from firms qualified to perform engineering work on federal aid projects. A submittal does not guarantee the firm will be contracted to perfonn any services but only serves notice the firm desires to be considered. Local Public Agency: Board of Commissioners of the County of Allen, Indiana Project Location: Ferguson Road Bridge #404 over the St Marys River Project Description:Allen County is seeking a consultant to provide design and ROW services
for the rehabilitation of Allen County Bridge #404, including removal of the existing bridge decks
and bridge railing; converting end-bents to semi-integral; and link slabs to eliminate open
expansion joints over the piers; and installation of new thinker deck to replace the substandard
existing deck, crash-tested bridge railing, and approach railing. The use of lightweight concrete
should be considered due to substandard existing deck thickness and to avoid overstressing the
