The University of Wyoming (the University) is soliciting proposals from professional and qualified suppliers (Suppliers), through this Request for Proposals (RFP), for the design and installation to upgrade the existing radio communication system at the University. Question Deadline 04/19/2024 at 2:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes, Questions regarding this RFP must be in writing and be directed to the University via the website platform any time after the issuance of this RFP through and including Questions received after the date/time and/or not submitted electronically through the website platform may not be addressed. Work for this project could begin as early as May 1, 2024, and needs to be completed by November 15, 2024. The University reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularities or informalities. This project shall include, but is not limited to the following: 1. System (Infrastructure) a. Removal and Installation of all equipment. b. UHF (preferred), Supplier can propose other infrastructure options. c. Digital system. d. Minimum of two (2) separate, interchangeable channels on the same frequency, four (4) available channels would be preferred. e. FCC compliant. (Supplier shall obtain required FCC licensing). 2. Equipment a. Motorola equipment or approved equal. The University will solely determine if proposed equipment is an approved equal. b. Durable and reliable with adequate MHz to clearly communicate within service radius. c. Background noise cancelling feature. d. Ability to adequately transmit within the city of Laramie, WY. Prefer equipment that can adequately receive and transmit within a 5-mile radius of Laramie, WY.
