The sound system replacement includes but is not limited to: o Remove old equipment and terminate all existing on/off switches o Remove and install new speakers in arena floor area o Install new power amps, Blu link devices, EQ's, power conditioners, and new digital mixer in existing racks, making all necessary connections o Setup router and extender for IPAD - remote control of audio system throughout arena o Repair wall plates in arena, create 4 mic connections per plate and remove old and add correct XLR jacks o Add appropriate number of ethernet wall controllers in required locations o Meeting room wall plates must be modified to have one working mic input per room o Install new volume knobs throughout dressing rooms and office area o Re-wire any mic line necessary for proper pinout to eliminate audio buzz o Build new portable audio roller rack and install new mixer, EQ, power conditioner, 2 wireless handheld mics, and drawer for mics, single rack plate loaded with female XLR insert for signal out to arena plate connections o Create 2 connections in office area for speaking mic and music into audio system and eliminate old mixer setup o Installation of entire system should be included in proposal o Test for performance and provide 4 hours of staff training o Cost of equipment required for installation of new system should be included in bid o Installation schedule must be coordinated with the St. Joseph Parks, Recreation, & Civic Facilities Department and not disrupt scheduled events. End Date 10/18/2024 The work shall begin after a contract has been approved by the St. Joseph City Council and a Notice to Proceed is issued to the successful bidder. The project completion target date is October 18, 2024. Modifications to the work schedule can be discussed but must accommodate the event schedule. Should the Contractor fail to complete all work on or before the agreed-upon date of substantial completion, the City may retain the amount of $250.00 for each day thereafter (except /Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) that the Contract remains incomplete. The St. Joseph Parks Department reserves the right to conduct interviews with prospective professionals to discuss scope of services, material recommendations and overall project specifications as outlined in the applicant's proposal.
