Scope of Work: The Work consists of, but not limited to, the construction of the following: 1. Approximately 1,300 linear feet (LF) of 24-inch HDPE and 24-inch and 20-inch stainless steel pipe, and 24-inch and 12- inch ductile iron piping for the Sawgrass Water Treatment Plants (WTP) concentrate disposal line, including valves and air release valves, to replace the existing 24-inch ductile iron pipeline. The new pipe will be routed from the existing concentrate well, CW-1, to a piping trench inside the Chemical/Mechanical Building, where it will connect to an existing 20-inch stainless steel pipe. The piping will be above grade at connection near CW-1 and will be buried from the CW-1 containment pad to the piping trench inside the Chemical/Mechanical Building. 2. Approximately 1,300 linear feet of 3-inch PVC sump pump drain piping from CW-1 to connect to existing 3-inch PVC drain piping located in the yard outside the Chemical/Mechanical Building. All work shall be constructed in accordance with the Bid documents. Location of Project: The work is located at 14150 NW 8th Street, Sunrise, FL 33325 Qualification Requirement: The Prime Contractor shall have a valid State of Florida Certified General Contractors License or Florida Underground Utility License. In the City of Sunrise, all underground utility permits (Drainage, Sewer, Sewer Service, Water, Water Service) require a licensed underground contractor to obtain the permit and perform the work. The Prime Contractor must have successfully completed at least three (3) projects of similar type, scope, size and complexity within the last five (5) years in the State of Florida. Selected vendor must provide verifiable references from the project's Owner. The City shall be the sole and final judge in determining if the Contractor meets the Qualification Requirement. Special accommodation: If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based F.S.S. 286.0105.
