Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Richmond is accepting bids for the construction of the 1 Inch Mill and Overlay Paving project to provide general contracting services that include, but are not limited to, performing citywide 1" inch mill and overlay paving program. This work will include up to a 1.5" inch milling and overlay with 1" inches of VDOT approved SM-9.0E with a minimum Asphalt Content of 6.5% and a rap content of 15%, including utility adjustments, sweep cleaning and all necessary preparation and finish work including but are not limited to patching, restoration (when needed), sidewalk repair, handicap ramps, pavement marking, etc. Contracts will be awarded based on funding being appropriated by the City's approved 2025 Budget. The undersigned further agrees to complete the work as bid within 365 consecutive calendar days after Notice to Proceed The person submitting the request shall be responsible for its prompt and actual delivery by Thursday, April 18, 2024 5:00 pm 1) award multiple contracts to insure the availability of contractors to perform the work in a timely manner. 2) divide the work into approximately 4 to 6 roughly equal sized projects assigned on the basis of need, conflicting concurrent work in the assigned area and other factors.
