Robins Road Water Main Ph I project consists of approximately 1,800 LF of 12" PVC water main, 600 LF of 12" DIP water main, 900 LF of 8" PVC water main and associated hydrants, valves, fittings, services, and 200 LF of storm sewer and associated intakes and sidewalk replacement, driveway replacement, and site restoration. Est. Value: $ 1,346,000.00 Engineers Estimate: $1,413,300 Site Directions: Robins Road from Fay St to Boyson Road; Pirie Drive from Robins Road to Ryan Ave Each successful bidder will be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to 100% of its contract price. Said bond shall be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City of Hiawatha, Iowa and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City of Hiawatha, Iowa from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement caused by failures in materials and construction for a period of two years from and after acceptance of the contract. Project has an early Start Date of May 20, 2024. Contractor shall have the project substantially completed by Friday, November 1, 2024 and final completion by Friday, December 20, 2024. All paperwork shall be completed by Thursday, January 9, 2025. The City of Hiawatha, Iowa does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the jurisdiction.
