The project consists of: 1. Construction of Building 1, 1-story Type V-A construction locker room building: housing the following: team rooms, offices, storage rooms and locker rooms (boys and girls). 2. Construction of Building 2, 1-story Type V-A construction pool equipment / concessions. 3. Construction of a 9,204 S.F. (37Mx25Y) pool and pool deck. 4. Site work consists of hard scape, planters, retaining walls, pre-manufactured fencing enclosing the pool deck, and a shade structure on the south side of the pool deck. Prevailing wage requirements apply to all public works projects. All subcontractors at every tier shall pay laborers performing any portion of work on the Project not less than the prevailing wage rate established for the labor provided. These rates are set forth in a schedule which may be found on the California Department of Industrial Relations website All subcontractors at every tier must use Skilled and Trained Workforce to perform all work on this Project that falls within an apprenticeable occupation in the building and construction trades in accordance with Public Contract Code section 2600 et seq. Section 17076.11 of the Education Code requires school districts using, or planning to use, funds allocated pursuant to the State of California School Facilities Program for the construction and/or modernization of school buildings to have a participation goal for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises of at least three percent (3%) per year of the overall dollar amount expended each year by the school district on projects that receive state funding. Contractors utilizing an A or B license are required to be District Prequalified. Also, all Kitchen Equipment, Pool, Fire Sprinkler, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sheetmetal contractors and all their tiers, are required to be District Prequalified.
