Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Fremont, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of July 02, 2025, this project is in Conceptual Status. The services include preparation of construction contract plans for a bridge rehabilitation project within Sandusky County. The bridge is over the Portage River on Cherry Street in the Village of Woodville (SFN. 7250274) approximately 0.05 mile. The existing Cherry Street Bridge over the Portage River is a 150 ft three span structure with prestressed concrete box beams and an asphalt deck with concrete sidewalks supported by concrete pedestals on both ends and 2 concrete cantilever (Solid T) piers. The proposed Cherry Street structure will need to be designed to accommodate both vehicular and pedestrian / bike traffic to include two 12-foot wide lanes and sidewalks along one (or both) sides of the structure. The profile and alignment of the existing roadway is not anticipated to be modified by the project. Some minor work to the approach roadway may be necessary to accommodate safety grading. Stage 2 plans are due to ODOT by 9/26/2025. PS&E Package is due to ODOT by 2/6/2026. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
