The 100,000-square-foot facility is tailored to meet the needs of those living in Kansas City, Kansas, by providing access to educational programs, health services and financial literacy. By offering comprehensive programs and services, such as general education and science courses, biomanufacturing, commercial construction technology and automated engineering technology, the facility will significantly boost workforce development in the area. Construction is currently underway and anticipated to be complete in summer 2025. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Project scope includes sitework and new construction of a 95,000 SF, 5-story building. The building will house higher education, banking, & healthcare spaces. The site is located on 7th Street & State Avenue. This project is tax exempt and has prevailing wage requirements. MBE/WBE/DBE are encouraged to participate. Project goals are 15% LBE, 14% MBE, and 7% WBE. Project includes some funding Paid for by ARPA Direct Appropriation via the State of Kansas Federal SLRF Fund. The Project is Currently Bidding Bid Package #1 (1 of 3). Project Scopes of Work including, but not limited to: Concrete, Precast Concrete, Masonry, Waterproofing, Plumbing (under slab rough-in and foundation drainage), Electrical (under slab rough-in and site conduits for overhead electrical relocation), Earthwork, Special Foundations, and Site Utilities The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to be the sole judge of what it considers the lowest responsible bid.
