Wastewater Collection Improvements - Phase 2 - Contract B Water Line Distribution Contract B: 4,500' of 6" diameter Water Pipeline; 180' of 2" diameter through 4" diameter Water Pipeline; 5 Gate Valves & Boxes; 3 Machine Taps (including Valves); 4 Wet Taps (Cut Pipe); all 4" & 6" diameter. Also, 1,580' of 12" x 0.188" Bored Steel Encasement; 780' of 3/4 " Diameter Water Service Line; 450' of Service Line Bores; and Miscellaneous Items of work including reconnecting and resetting water meters, pipeline identification markers, a non-pumper fire hydrant, ductile iron pipe fittings, connections to small diameter piping, backfill, and erosion control. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Each bidder must deposit with this bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner for five percent of the total amount of the Bid and have as a surety thereon a Surety company currently authorized and licensed in good standing to conduct business within the State. Bid Bonds shall be executed by a Mississippi agent or a qualified nonresident agent. The Mississippi agent or qualified nonresident agent shall be in good standing and currently licensed by the Insurance Commissioner of the State to represent Surety companies. A certified check may be used in lieu of a Bid Bond. AWARD If, at the time this contract is to be awarded, the lowest Bid submitted by a responsive Bidder does not exceed the amount of funds then estimated by the Owner as available to finance the contract, the contract will be awarded. If such Bid exceeds such amounts, the Owner may reject all Bids. A PERFORMANCE BOND and a PAYMENT BOND, each in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety listed on the Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570 as amended), approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract.
