No definite date for the rebid.** Electrical Upgrades and Repairs at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall The Director of Finance reserves the right to cancel this Invitation for Bid or to reject any or all bids in whole or in part if deemed to be in the best interest of the County. All prospective bidders shall have a Hawai'i State Contractor's License Type "A" or Specialty License C-13 PRIOR to submittal of bids. This is a County Project funded by the County of Kaua'i. The design and construction specified herein shall comply with the General Provisions for Construction Contracts (GPCC), dated September 2015. EVALUATION The Electrical System Analysis included in this Section of the IFB was performed for the County of Kauai May - July 2021. While comprehensive, with the passage of time, the evaluation may not accurately reflect every electrical deficiency of the facility. This evaluation is provided toward establishing the scope for uniform estimating basis for all bidders; and is not intended to be comprehensive. Reasonable variances shall not constitute a basis for requesting additional funds. B. The Electrical System Analysis is confined to the condition of the electrical system at the time of the evaluation only and does not relieve the Contractor from responsibility for correcting all deficiencies, proper fit, performance or construction. Any deviation from the evaluation shall be clearly noted in the final report. C. Evaluation includes the following: 1. Equipment Inventory and Problem Count 2. EDS Data (Equipment name plate information) 3. IR Problem Report 4. Electrical Problem Report (Non-IR) 5. Power quality analysis 6. EDS Component Problem Summary D. Since manufacturing methods vary, reasonable variations from the specifications are expected; however, in the specifications, performance and material requirements are minimum. The Kauai County Project Engineer retains the right, however, to judge equality of equipment that deviates from the specifications. E. "As-Built" drawings: The Contractor shall keep at the jobsite a complete, neat, and accurate record of all approved deviations from the contract and specifications indicating the work as actually installed. 1. All equipment warranties and guarantees by the product manufacturer are to be provided by the contractor. These will be turned over to the Kauai County Project Engineer at the acceptance of the project. Question Deadline Apr 23, 2024 SCOPE OF WORK Work under this Contract includes providing all labor, materials, equipment and services required for the selected removal of deficient, dilapidated, and non-functioning electrical components of the War Memorial Convention Hall & Center electrical system, including but not limited to, branch circuit panels, disconnect switches, junction boxes, motor starters, variable frequency drives, switchboard safety disconnects, transformers, lighting contactors, etc.(all items in the evaluation assigned Problrem Level of "Alert, Severe, Critical", and replacing them with new electrical components and rehabilitating and refurbishing components and other hardware and related equipment, and all other necessary and related equipment and materials as described below which is based on the Electrical System Analysis performed for the County of Kauai May - July 2021. a.
