Scope: This Specification document covers construction, installation, labor, equipment, and material requirements for the installation of the switchyard electrical equipment. The purpose of this solicitation for 1411667446 – Normandy Substation New Control House Construction (this Solicitation) is to select a vendor to provide construction, installation, labor, equipment, and material requirements for the installation of the switchyard electrical equipment. The Contractor shall erect in place, test, and leave ready for service, the facilities shown on the Contract Drawings and herein specified. This document covers all aspects of construction of, and within, JEA electrical substations. as described in this Solicitation (the "Work") and to determine the best method for JEA to procure the Work with regards to pricing, quality, design, and workmanship. A more detailed description of the Work is provided in the Technical Specifications included as an Exhibit to this Solicitation. Capitalized terms used in this Solicitation without definition shall have the definitions given to them in Section 2 of this Solicitation. To request any change in the Work including, but not limited to, changes in scope, quantities, price, or schedule, the Company shall submit a written request in the form of a Request for Information ("RFI") to the JEA Project Manager within ten (10) business days from the date that the event that prompted the change was discovered or should have been discovered. The RFI shall contain sufficient information regarding the nature of the requested change, including an itemized estimate of cost, either positive or negative, in relation to the change, and any effect on contract time which is related to the changed condition, and work descriptions and other information necessary to evaluate the merits of the change. If Work includes items covered under a manufacturer's or Subcontractor's warranty that exceeds the requirements stated herein, Company shall transfer such warranty to JEA. Such warranties, do not in any way limit the warranty provided by the Company to JEA.
