Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Arlington, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The County is accepting bids for Sign Replacement, Squire Creek Park. Engineers Estimate: $37,200 Construct a custom sign for a main entry to a campground per provided drawings. Work includes: Form and pour concrete spread footing with associated 6" compacted crushed rock base and #4 rebar. Coordinate electrical conduit with County's electrician. Form and pour two (2) 12" raised concrete bases on top of the spread footing for base of columns. Match width of bases with the size of concrete top caps and incorporate a 1" chamfer on top edges (see drawings). Concrete finish of base and top caps should match. Erect twin columns (2'x2'x8.5' tall) with either CMU block or formed concrete. Columns shall be topped with approximately 3'x3' formed concrete caps (either custom built or approved off-the-shelf). Finished Columns shall be approximately 10'2" tall and spaced in conformity with the owner-provided sign frame. Coordinate placement of electrical conduit and components with county's electrician. Match concrete finish of caps and bases. Attachment of owner-provided tubular steel sign frame and frame brackets to the masonry block columns. Following established industry standards, apply a veneer of a cultured stone "river rock" (approximately 140 sf including a combined 68 ft of corner) to the columns. Selection of cultured stone to be approved by owner's representative prior to installation. Joints shall be "tight" with 1/4 " recessed mortar. Coordinate with County's electrician on incorporating the light fixtures and electrical components into the stone veneer. Install two (2) 8'x4' aluminum signs to the sign frame. One on either side. County's electrician shall Install all electrical components and materials and coordinate electrical related work with the contractor. Any variance to code that the bidder finds in the drawings shall be communicated in the original bid for correction during construction and not as a change order. Installation labor shall be at prevailing wages. The County has obtained the sign permit. Permit currently expires 25 July 2024. Restrooms are available on-site for contractor use. All Site clearing prep, and electrical work shall be excluded. Question Deadline 04/18/2024 at 11:00 AM PT. Questions and clarifications may be submitted online or via email to purchasing@snoco.org. All questions must be submitted in writing by Email to purchasing@snoco.org. All answers and clarifications will be sent to all plan holders via addendum. Questions via phone will not be accepted. Bidders shall submit questions no later than the date and time indicated on the bid cover page. The work shall be completed within __60___ days from Notice to Proceed. It shall be necessary to coordinate with Owner if any work can continue past this date. The Owner shall have the right to require the Contractor to furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations including labor and material payments arising during the Contract. These Bonds shall be provided as required in the Bidding Documents or in the Contract Documents.
