SWD requests bids from qualified companies for the grinding, composting, and beneficial use related to processing of vegetative debris generated as the result of a natural or human-made disaster. The Bidders designated facility may be a permitted composting facility, a permitted transfer site to the bidder's permitted composting facility, or a permitted wood collection processing facility. No oral interpretations of the bid will be made to any Bidder. All questions shall be submitted in writing by Email to purchasing@snoco.org. All answers and clarifications will be posted and available to all potential bidders via written addenda. Question Deadline 04/16/2024 at 11:00 AM PT The initial bid term will be five (5) years. Pricing shall remain fixed for an initial one (1) year term. Any price adjustments shall be made within 30 days of the execution anniversary date. With concurrence of the Supplier, the County may extend the term one (1) additional one (1) year term. It is estimated that after a large magnitude natural disaster event in the County, such as a flood, earthquake, or windstorm, there could be approximately 270,000 cubic yards of vegetative and woody debris generated.
