The project includes: Construction of 4,114 linear feet of new 30-inch and 442 linear feet of new 24-inch transmission main along Molalla Avenue, including connections to the Mountainview Pump Station and existing transmission main piping (at the intersection of Molalla Avenue and Beavercreek Road). Construction of 3,966 linear feet of replacement 8-inch and 443 linear feet of replacement 6-inch distribution main (along Molalla Avenue) including tie-ins at termination and at intersections from Holmes Lane to Beavercreek Road. Replacement of 31 existing water services Replacement of fire hydrant assemblies and addition of new fire hydrant assemblies Abandonment of 7,081 linear feet of 6-, 8- and 16-inch water main. Temporary and permanent pavement repair, as indicated on the Drawings. Temporary control of traffic needed to complete the Work while protecting the safety of the traveling public. Engineer's Estimate: $7.3 Million Each proposal must be submitted on forms prescribed by the City and accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount equal to 10 percent (10%) of the total amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond and a labor and material payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of contract. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish a statutory public works bond in the amount of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00). Evidence of workers' compensation insurance will be required before the work shall commence. The City will investigate and determine the qualifications of the apparent low bidder prior to awarding the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject all bids if it is in the public interest to do so
