This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Fort St. John, British Columbia. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

This proposed contract is for manual brushing work in the 2024 field season, and requires the brushing of competitive brush species from reforested cut-blocks for the purpose of allowing crop trees to reach free growing parameters. The total area which requires brushing is approximately 350.8 hectares. All sites are located within the Peace Resource District and specifically the Fort St. John area. The locations of each site are shown on the overview map and Google Earth file included with the tender package. Site viewing is optional; however, it is highly recommended bidders view the field sites prior to submitting their bid. Pay Plots are not required of the Contractor; however, with the commitment of quality control as a requirement of the Environmental Management System, the Contractor will be required to monitor the completion of quality plots on each unit throughout the course of the project. Information has been provided from the most recent survey of the area but should be used as guidance only. All contract related questions must be submitted in writing ONLY to the following email address: Forests.PeaceLiardTimberSalesOffice@gov.bc.ca. Deadline for receiving questions is 4:00pm (PST) on April 17th, 2024. If questions are received, a Question & Answer document will be posted to BC Bid by April 24th, 2024, at 4:00pm. Tender submissions must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package. If your bid deposit is in the form of cash, money order, certified cheque, or bank draft, you will not be able to e-Bid. See allowable submission delivery method(s) above. Also see Conditions of Tender for acceptable bid securities. The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1st, 2022
