Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Hibbing, Minnesota. Working plans call for the addition of a fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the construction of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
As of April 28th, 2025, this project has not yet begun. A construction manager has also been identified, to oversee the project. Notice is hereby given that the City of Hibbing of St. Louis County, Minnesota, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified and experienced parties to provide Architectural and Engineering services for a Public Safety Building which includes the Fire, EMS, and Police departments. The project will either be a new Public Safety Building or a renovation of an existing facility with addition(s), both located within the City of Hibbing. The determination whether the City moves forward with a new facility or renovation with addition(s) will be determined through a feasibility study process with the selected Architectural and Engineering (A/E) firm(s), the CMaR and the City of Hibbing. No proposal will be accepted after the deadline for the receipt of proposals. The City of Hibbing reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to waive any informalities, irregularities, or defects in any proposal, should it deem to be in the best interest of the City of Hibbing to do so.
