This project has been awarded and a study has been completed. No construction has yet been planned. RFP Engineering - Electrical Engineering Services for PSERN Radio Sites Maloney and Sobieski. Scope of Work The Puget Sound Emergency Radio Network Operator (PSERN) is requesting a review, recommendations, and options for site power for two public safety radio sites, Maloney, and Sobieski. Both sites currently operate using mains power with backup generators. Mains power is provided via an aging PSE direct buried line to the Maloney site that is prone to failure and is resulting in increased maintenance costs. Mains power to the Sobieski site is provided by a branch line from Maloney in a separate conduit and line that extends on the ground more than a mile from Maloney to Sobieski. It should be noted that this branch line is in good condition. To ensure the operation of this critical public safety radio infrastructure, PSERN is seeking recommendations and designs for a stable/uninterruptable power source at Maloney and Sobieski. Details are included in the Scope of Services. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
