Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Belleville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The proposed project consists of cleaning and painting the structural steel beams, or portions thereof, of the bridge carrying the MetroBikeLink over IL Route 161 (SN 082-7003) and any other work necessary to complete the project as described. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, edition in effect at the time of the bid. IDOT Prequalification in Category 25 - Painting and Cleaning is required for all bidders. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a Project Labor Agreement. No less than the prevailing rate of wages, as determined in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, shall be paid to all laborers, operators, teamsters, masons, plumbers, and any workers employed in the construction on this project. Bids will not be accepted or opened which have been received from any bidder who is not a bid document holder of record.
