This project is for the replacement of an existing structure on township road t-718, section lc5, in elmhurst township, lackawanna county, in the commonwealth of pennsylvania. The project is located along township road t-718 (gc smith street) at the structure over roaring brook creek, from station 9+60 to station 15+00, with an overall length of 590 lf. The proposed work involves removing the existing bridge and replacing the structure with a two-span, composite p/s concrete spread box beam bridge. Also included with the project will be full-depth approach roadway reconstruction, drainage improvements, safety updates including guide rail and pavement markings, concrete curb and sidewalk, driveway adjustments, and landscaping are proposed. Traffic is proposed to be shifted to the adjacent sr 435 project temporary road for the duration of construction.
