The Work for Which Bids Are Asked Includes the Following: Approximately: 7,300 Sf of Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Replacement, 500 Sf of Concrete Sidewalk, 6" Replacement, and Miscellaneous Items Associated With the Above Work. Question Deadline 04/17/2024 All Bidders must execute and file a Bidder's Proof of Responsibility Questionnaire no later than the close of business on April 17th, which is seven (7) calendar days prior to the bid opening. A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to the City of Beloit in the amount of 5% of the Bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee, that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by the City of Beloit. Failure of the part of the Bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the Bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to the City of Beloit as liquidated damages. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the City of Beloit for 110% of the Contract Price for each of the above Bonds, in accordance with the requirement of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall provide all labor, services, materials, tools, equipment, utilities and transportation necessary for the performance of the work described in the plans and specifications furnished by the City in the base bid. All work shall be performed and completed in a workmanlike manner and to the satisfaction of the Engineering Division of the City of Beloit or its duly appointed representative.
