Site work and renovation of a civil project in Kentland, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project includes the following Work: This project consists of improvements to the Town of Kentland's water supply system including a new Water Treatment Plant (WTP), a new building, a new security system, a forced air aerator, and detention tank, high-pressure service pumps, horizontal pressure filter, gas chlorination and air scrubbersystem, chemical feed systems, backwash tank and pumps, and a new supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system that allows communication and automated control between pertinent equipment including but not limited to water supply wells, high service pumps, and the water storage tank, along with all other work required for the complete construction and functionality of the wells and WTP. Work regarding Well No.1, Well No.3, and Well No.4 will include pump replacement/rehabilitation, well-cleaning and general rehab, and installation of a new security system. Work regarding Well No.2 will include abandonment of Well No.2. This will include removal of all piping and well equipment as well as plugging and sealing the well and converting the existing building into a storage building. Finally, a new raw water main will be installed running from the well field including Well No. 1 and Well No. 3 to the new WTP running along First (1 st ) Street. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the Owner, in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the highest aggregate bid, which check or bond will be held by the Owner as evidence that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, enter into the same with the Owner upon notification from him to do so within ten (10) days of said notification. Approved performance and payment bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance of the work and materials, to be executed by an acceptable surety company, will be required of the Contractor at the time of contract execution. The bonds will be in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and must be in full force and effect throughout the term of the Construction Contract plus a period of twelve (12) months from the date of substantial completion. The work to be performed and the bid to be submitted shall include sufficient and proper sums for all general construction, mechanical installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and so forth incidental to and required for the construction of the facilities. The Bidders attention is also called to the "Minority/Women Owned Business Participation" and "Indiana Veteran Owned Small Business Program" requirements contained in the Project Specifications. The State of Indiana has set a goal of 10% participation for minority and women owned businesses and 3% participation of veteran owned businesses for construction or purchase related contracts for the work. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any bid, or all bids, or to accept any bid or bids, or to make such combination of bids as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalitiesin bidding. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered.
