All questions must be referred in writing to Stephen McDonald via email at mcdonalds@worcesterma.gov Request for quote for installation of the following at one district location with integration into the WPS network infrastructure: o Four (4) Door Controllers o Two (2) Exterior Video Stations o Two (2) Exterior Card Readers o Nineteen (19) Interior Cameras o Ten (10) Exterior Cameras o One (1) Interior Network Drop Installation must be completed no later than 90 days ARO Location: 170 Belmont Street Worcester, MA 01605 Goods/Services: Services: o Wiring, installation, mounting, and integration of four (4) door controllers, two (2) video stations and two (2) card readers o Wiring, mounting, aiming, and installation of nineteen (19) interior and ten (10) exterior cameras o Wiring and installation of one (1) interior network drop The supply of the cameras is not part of this bid. WAPS, cameras, door controllers, card readers, and video stations will be provided by the WPS. All other materials will be provided by the Vendor. Camera Installation: Integration of cameras will include a meeting, before project start, with WPS personnel to verify correct positioning and aiming of cameras. Integration will be considered complete only after verification, by Worcester Public Schools Technical Services, all work has been performed as per specification. No payment will be made before this verification. Wiring and Mounting Requirements: Installation of one (1) - Category 6 (CAT-6) plenum cable to each predetermined location. Vendors will be required to terminate to the nearest backbone IDF, provided room is available for additional patch panels. Vendors may be required to run cabling further than the nearest IDF * No wire run will exceed CAT 6 specified maximum distance of 100 Meters. Vendor is responsible for providing all patch panels, connectors, hangers, patch cables, mounting hardware and any other supplies necessary to provide a complete (turnkey) installation. Hangers must be used above ceiling tiles and may not be laid on top of tiles. Any wiring done below the ceiling must be piped in EMT. Vendor is responsible to provide watertight connections for exterior mounted cameras and intercoms. All interior penetrations must be fire stopped and the exterior caulked. The Vendor is responsible for all costs associated with the installation of cameras including, but not limited to, all permits, lifts (interior or exterior) and/or bucket truck where required. All work is to be conducted during hours when there is no student activity, unless pre-arranged with the district. This will typically mean after normal school business hours (7AM - 3PM). Hazardous materials may exist. It is the Vendors responsibility to avoid and not disturb. If such materials are disturbed, the Vendor is responsible for all costs associated with the cleanup and verification testing (by WPS vendor of choice) to ensure cleanup is complete.
