NAICS Code: 238110 - Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors Size Standard: $19.0 million Completion Time: 180 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed This is a 100% Veteran Owned Small Business set aside procurement. All prospective bidders must be registered in SAM (www.sam.gov), and are verified/visible/certified with the SBA at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement. Contractors are required to submit their VETs 4212 Certification with their offer. Site Visit - A site visit will be available for interested parties to tour the area on July 18, 2024 at 10:00am EST Interested parties are to meet at the Castle Point VAMC, Building 9, Engineering Department. This will be the ONLY site visit date for the project, no others will be scheduled. To preserve the integrity of the procurement process, all questions and request for information must be submitted in writing to Dany Humphreys, Contracting Officer via email at dany.humphreys2va.gov. Questions must be received no later than July 23, 2024 at 2:00pm EST. Please submit your quote in an email to Dany Humphreys, Contracting Officer at dany.humphreys2va.gov Please include a cost breakdown of your proposal as well as three (3) references of projects of the same nature with Your proposal. Scope or Tasks (for services) The purpose of this project is to repair the failing concrete decking and exterior water proofing the eastern corridor of Building 16. Work will begin with asbestos and lead abatement of existing floor tile, removal of existing finishes and some mechanical equipment. Temporary supports for utilities from the basement level will be installed prior to the removal of the damaged concrete. Once the contractor removes the damaged concrete, steel brackets are to be installed on both sides of the corridor wall to support a new a new composite steel deck which will consist of pouring a concrete slab reinforced with woven wire reinforcement and doweled into existing concrete. To mitigate future damage from weather, the contractor will remove the access doorway and a portion of the exterior ramp and infill door and exterior with matching materials. Work cannot begin until all materials and equipment have been reviewed by the VA and are onsite. Work includes general construction, alterations, architectural removal and restoration, asbestos remediation, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for repair of existing Building 16 corridor and removal of concrete ramp as required by drawings and specifications. Proposals will be evaluated based on price, references and past performance. The Government reserves the right to make award without discussions. NOTE: CONTRACTORS MUST ACKNOWLEDGE ALL SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS. Refer to solicitation for full description of requirement. Due Date: Proposals are due no later than Tuesday July 30, 2024 10:00am EST.
