The City of Mississauga requires at least one supplier for the maintenance of turf and horticulture features throughout the 13 km long Transitway for a four year term. The Transitway, also known as the Guideway, follows the north and south side of Hwy 403, Eastgate Parkway and Eglinton Ave E. There are 11 stations with 3 being owned by Metrolinx. These features are typically within the station areas and road rights-of-way which are easily accessed. In addition the above, the successful Bidder will be responsible for maintaining the outdoor living wall located between Tahoe and Orbitor stations. Maintenance will include watering, planter planting, mulching, bulb planting, perennial/annual bed maintenance, paver maintenance, litter picking and rough cut grass cutting. To be considered for award, Bidders must be able to demonstrate that: The bidder must be readily available to undertake Contract requirements.
Bidders must be a member in good standing with Landscape Ontario, for at least the last two years.
The bidder must demonstrate it has undertaken, within the last three (3) calendar year's and/or current year, similar projects of scope and size. At least one (1) reference must be from a municipality or other government body. Bidders are to complete the applicable Schedules in the City's e-bidding system accordingly.
The bidder must acknowledge they have not been charged with a violation of the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) or Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA), have not been in default of contract requiring surety involvement, and are not in bankruptcy proceedings, by completing the table within the City's ebidding system.
The Bidder must demonstrate it has a minimum of five (5) years experience in the last ten (10) years, servicing account(s) with similar scope and size of the City or larger. Bidders are to complete the Reference Schedule in the City's ebidding system.
The Bidder must have specific experience performing horticulture maintenance at heights.
