Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Orlando, Florida. Working plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

As of March 4, 2026, a design firm and construction manager have been selected. Constructio nis expected to last from March of 2027 to May of 2028. Major elements of the project include: 1. Task One would consist of campus plan options, a minimum of two (2), existing building assessment and report, a program document, preliminary schematic design, full renderings, phasing, schedule, and construction estimate for each option. Renderings will be utilized in promotional and fundraising efforts for the completion of programmed spaces. OCPS would then access and review both options and select one for approval and development. 2. Task Two would include architectural and engineering services for the design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction administration phases. The Architect/Engineering team will provide all professional services to deliver to the owner a safe, finished, and fully functioning campus within the estimated proposed construction budget. The existing Cherokee School is an unoccupied campus. The overall estimated construction cost is approximately $60 million and will be utilized to fund site work, basic architectural development, and infrastructure (MEP) needs. The district will concurrently engage in a fundraising effort for funding for the architectural completion, finishes and related technologies of the major performance and instructional spaces within the project. Due to the complexity and variety of scope items, preference will be given to a Prime with Architectural and Arts & Entertainment program experience. Anticipated Award Date : 6/25/2024
