Renovation of a military facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Remove existing door leading into room 7 and replace with an STC50 rated door as well as the badge reader. Once the door and badge reader are installed and functioning properly, room 7 can be VTC certified. Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. Project Title: 3 TES SCIF Door Replacement Project Location: Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO 80912 1. 100% Small Business Set-aside, NAICS 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, Size Standard $45.0M. This is a request for proposal under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and awarded a firm-fixed price construction contract. All references to discussions shall not be interpreted under FAR Part 15, but rather indicates that the Government may communicate with offers as allowed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. 2. IAW FAR 36.204(b), the magnitude of this construction project is anticipated between $25,000 and $100,000. 3. Contractors shall follow instructions in section L of solicitation. A responsive proposal shall consist of at minimum a Price Proposal, Technical Approach, Material Specifications, and Relevant Past Performance. 4. Any request for information must be received no later than 17 May 2024 by 12:00PM Local Time via e-mail directly to the Contract Specialist, Keimon Jackson, at keimon.jackson.1@spaceforce.mil and the Contracting Officer, Nicole Orr, at nicole.orr.1@spaceforce.mil. 5. Offerors shall electronically request to attend site visit no later than 15 May 2024 by 09:00PM, directly to the Contract Specialist, Keimon Jackson, at keimon.jackson.1@spaceforce.mil and the Contracting Officer, Nicole Orr at nicole.orr.1@spaceforce.mil. The site visit will be on Thursday, May 16th at 09:30AM Local time at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO 80912. 6. Proposals must be received no later than 31 May 2024 by 12:00PM Local Time via e-mail directly to the Contract Specialist, Keimon Jackson, at keimon.jackson.1@spaceforce.mil and the Contracting Officer, Nicole Orr, at nicole.orr.1@spaceforce.mil. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. 1. Remove existing door and all components, including the frame, leading into room 7 in MOD 16. Opening may have to be modified to fit new door. 2. Once removal is complete, install a solid wood door and all necessary hardware to meet STC50 requirements. 3. Fill frame system cavity with mineral wool insulation prior to installation for sound attenuation. 4. The installed door, frame and hardware must meet requirements found in the ICD 705. Ensure door opening has adequate framing to support the excessive STC50 door weight. 5. Paint door frame to match existing frames in the area. 6. A badge reader will need to be installed to control access to the room. Badge reader will be connected into existing system. The current system is Symmetry Professional. 7. The contractor is responsible for all electrical work required to tie into existing security system. The contractor shall route and install conduits in a clean and workmanlike manner. All conduits shall be installed in horizontal, vertical and in straight lines. All conduit penetrations shall be sealed and painted to match existing. 8. The contractor shall provide certified, licensed, and authorized personnel to work on the security system. Proof of certification, licensing and authorization shall be submitted to the Government and approved prior to the start of any work on the security system. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the Government. 9. Work will not be complete until the door and badge reader function properly following inspection from the Government. 10. Contractor will be responsible for repairs if any damage occurs to the existing area while removing or installing the door and badge reader.
