The City of Norfolk is requesting Bidsfor the construction of the following Project: Water Pollution Control Plant Improvements Olsson Project 021-00822 The Project includes the followingWork: Bid - The project is briefly described as follows: Select demolition activities at the existing treatment facility that include; pre-aeration basin, grit facilities and piping, and lift station equipment and piping, associated site concrete and/or structures, grating, stairs, associated piping, valves, and controls; miscellaneous mechanical/electrical equipment, and site modifications. Construction of a Grit building and grit equipment, rehabilitation of north lift station and primary clarifier #2. Work will require bypass pumping. Bid security shall be furnished inaccordance with the Instruction toBidders. The check(s) or bond(s) shall be made payable to City of Norfolk, assecurity that the bidder(s) to whom theaward(s) are made will enter intocontract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bondsand insurance. The City of Norfolk reserves the rightto accept any bid which it deems mostadvantageous to the Owner, and toreject any or all bids submitted and tohold as many bids as it desires forconsideration for a period of sixty daysafter the bids are open. For all further requirementsregarding bid submittal, qualifications,procedures, and contract award, referto the Instructions to Bidders that areincluded in the Bidding Documents Question Deadline 05/16/2024 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineerin writing. Contactinformation and submittal proceduresforsuch questions are included in the Addendum. The Work will be substantially complete on or before October 1, 2025, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before November 1, 2025.
