PURPOSE The Great Neck Union Free School District, hereinafter referred to as "the School District", invites sealed bids from qualified vendors to perform tree pruning, tree removal, tree care, stump grinding, poison ivy removal, tree planting, athletic field services, mulch application, and spring/fall cleanups throughout the School District. The Board of Education of the Great Neck Union Free School District, Great Neck, New York, (hereinafter the "School District"), in accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, hereby invites reputable and qualified bidders to submit sealed bids for the following: Tree Pruning, Removal, and Care Services There will be no discussion at the time of bid opening. The names of the bidders shall be available following the bid opening. The School District reserves the right to make an award as a whole, in part, or reject any or all bids that it considers not to be in its best interest. Interested vendors may obtain a bid packet from the Purchasing Office of the Great Neck Union Free School District. CONTRACT AWARDS A. Contract(s) will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder(s), provided their bids are reasonable and in the best interest of the School District to accept. The School District reserves the right to award a contract(s) based on this bid; or to reject all bids; or to use the information received as a guide to the allocation of monies for such services in a future budget, as it deems to be in its best interest. B. The School District reserves the right to make an award(s) as a whole or in part. The School District may determine the lowest bid by awarding items individually, by grouping items together or by awarding all items to one bidder. If two or more bidders submit identical bids as to price, the decision of the Board to award a contract to one of such identical bidders shall be final. C. The School District will afford all businesses an equal opportunity to submit offers and will not discriminate against any bidder or individual on the grounds of age, race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, military status, sex, reproductive health decisions, disability, predisposing genetic characteristics or marital status. D. The School District reserves the right to waive any informalities or technical defects in bids, and unless otherwise specified by the School District, to accept any portion(s) of the bids as may best serve the interest of the School District. E. The bidder acknowledges and agrees that its bid is an offer to contract, and that the School District's award of the contract is an acceptance of that offer, thereby creating a binding agreement between the parties. The initial contract term shall be from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. The contract(s) may be renewed for two additional one-year terms, from July 1 through June 30, by agreement between the School District and the successful bidder(s). Such annual extensions shall be subject to approval by the Board of Education. Question Deadline 04/15/2024. No oral interpretations, instructions, or explanation of the bid documents will be given prior to the opening of the bids. Every request for such interpretation shall be made in writing, via email to Alfredo Cavallaro, Director of Facilities, acavallaro@greatneck.k12.ny.us. All questions or requests for clarification or information should be submitted no later than three business days prior to the opening of bids
