Period of Contract: For ONE (1) Year from the Date of Award with the Option for FOUR (4) Additional One (1) Year Renewals. By my signature on this solicitation, I certify that this firm/individual and subcontractor is properly licensed for providing the goods/services specified License Requirements: The contractor shall be licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Contractors as a Class A Contractor. Contractors shall only provide quotes for which they are appropriately licensed. Quoting projects for which the contractor is not appropriately licensed may be grounds for terminating the Contractor's term contract. For Contracts with a value exceeding one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), the Contractor shall deliver to the Owner or its designated representative, a Standard Performance Bond (Form AC-10) and a Standard Labor and Material Payment Bond (Form AC-10.1), each fully executed by the Contractor and one or more surety companies legally licensed to do business in Virginia and each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the accepted bid. The bonds shall identify the name and address of an attorney-in-fact who is appointed to act on behalf of the surety within the Commonwealth of Virginia. The attorney-in-fact shall affix to the bond a certified and current copy of the power of attorney. If more than one Surety executes a bond, each shall be jointly and severally liable to the Owner for the entire amount of the bond. Sureties shall be selected by the Contractor, subject to approval by the Owner. No payment on the Contract shall be due and payable to the Contractor until the bonds have been approved by the Owner. The Standard Performance Bond and Standard Labor and Material Payment Bond will be held for one year after final acceptance of the Work or as described in the bond forms. Question Deadline 04/30/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Any questions related to this solicitation MUST be submitted to the contact named on the first page of this solicitation no fewer than seven (7) workdays prior to the bid opening or proposal closing date specified. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers in whole or in part and to waive any informality in the offer. Informality shall be defined as a minor defect or variation from the exact requirements which does not affect the price, quality, quantity or delivery schedule.
